On Wednesday evening, October 8, AMP will present the internationally-renowned Jordanian singer/songwriter Farah Siraj, in concert at FUSION. Farah and her musicians perform all over the globe. Time Out New York calls her "the Norah Jones of the Mideast."
Farah loves collaborating with choral groups, and Quintessence Artistic Director Matthew Greer will be putting together a chorus to sing with her at her Albuquerque performance. The commitment is one rehearsal, sound check before the concert, and the concert performance:
Tuesday, October 7 Rehearsal with Farah, 6pm-7:30 at St. John's UMC
Wednesday, October 8, 5:30pm soundcheck, 7:30pm concert at FUSION, 708 1st Street NW
Specific details are here, as well as a sign-up form. This is a "big tent" event; all singers are welcome, regardless of experience level. We hope to see you there!
